Cole Luke, Freelance Video Games Journalist

Hello there! My name is Cole Luke. I am a Scottish life-long PC gamer, actor, and freelance video games journalist with my work featured in Digital Foundry for Eurogamer, PCGamesN, Radio Times, Pocket Tactics, and Cycling News.

Starting with an aging hand-me-down Sega Saturn, I have bartered and traded my way up the gaming food chain. My current machine of choice is a Razer Blade Base 2019 equipped with an RTX 2060 and yes – the battery swelled and became a spicy pillow, thank you for asking.

I live in a permanent state of nostalgia, longing to be back in 2007 playing Garry’s Mod 10, The Orange Box, and scouring ModDB daily. That’s not to say I’m not excited for the future, especially with VALVe’s Steam Deck – a democratizing force in the PC space. As someone who didn’t grow up with the latest and greatest, accessibility is something I will always champion.

As an actor who trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and featured in plays such as A War of Two Halves and It's Always Sunny in Dundee, it’s in my blood to tell stories and that’s exactly what I want to do. I hope to be able to share some of them with you.

Here on my world-wide-web page is a collection of some of my thoughts and stories on the industry as it was, is, and where it might be headed.

You can keep up with everything I get up to with the links up top!
